Our bloodstock agents help clients from abroad with all aspects of racing and breeding.

Our perfect knowledge of the market allows us to advise French breeders on the choice of stallions for their mares and renewal of their breeding stock.

We follow the racing career of horses belonging to our clients and keep them up to date with their performances. In cooperation with thr trainer, we select horses and the direction of their racing career.

Members of the AFC represent approximately 50% of the market at public sales (80 million Francs) and 90% of private sales.

A Brief Profile of Our Members

	PATRICK BARBE, our President, regularly purchases top price yearlings at the Deauville Sales. He specialises in the racing and breeding industry in Japan and frequently advises the YOSHIDA brothers, who have recently bought HELISSIO, the 1996/97 European Champion.
	ERIC PUERARI,  is not only a very active agent, but one of the top French breeders. He regularly advises Jean Luc Lagardere, the President of France Galop, and many international owners such as M. G Bisantz
	BERNARD DE SAINT SEINE was well respected as President of the AFC for the last 20 years. He works on a worldwide basis, including Australia and New Zealand.
	HUBERT BARBE BARBE is our JUMPING expert. He has introduced many top English and Irish owners to the French jumping scene and has created a lot of successful business.
	MICHEL ZEROLO and HUBERT GUY are Frenchmen based in the USA who commute regularly between the two sides of the Atlantic. They have sold many Grade One winners. ALAIN FALOURD does the same job, but on this side of the ocean.
	EMMANUEL DE SEROUX has offices in Chantilly and Los Angeles.  He sells stallions to Japan and among others manages Saudi interests in Europe.
	GERARD LARRIEU was involved in the purchase of three of the last six French Derby winners, CELTIC ARMS, RAGMAR and DREAM WELL, as well as French Oaks winner SIERRA MADRE. He is also an arab racing and breeding specialist.
	GILLES FORIEN (FIPS) always ranks as one of the leading buyers at auctions. He is manager for the Marquesa de Moratalla, and advises many other top owners and breeders from Belgium and Spain among others.
	JEAN PIERRE DEROUBAIX manages the Chalhoub stables. He also also many clients from Germany and the Emirates. He has bought many top horses for Dr Robert Bousquet including SHAKA, BOUCANEER and IPPON.
	PHILIPPE JOUSSET advises SPANISH and SOUTH AMERICAN owners-breeders, and also knows the Czech racing industry very well.
	JEAN PIERRE DE GASTE manages the interests of the ruling family of ABU DHABI and is very much involved with arab racing.
	FREDERIC SAUQUE advises Daniel Wildenstein on all aspects of racing including flat racing, jumping and trotting.
	PAUL NATAF works with many owners and breeders, including the successful Lebanese owner NAJI PHARAON.
	GUY PETIT specialises particularly in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia
	CHARLES HENRI DE MOUSSAC oowns the famous HARAS DU MEZERAY, and is also President of the FRENCH BREEDERS ASSOCIATION.
	BRUNO RIDOUX bought HELISSIO as a weanling for Mr SARASOLA, as well as ABBATIALE for Mr Coude. He has also developed a great stud farm for German investor Mr Winter.
	MARC ANTOINE BERGRACHT iis very active in Ireland and South East Asia.
	YANN HOUYVET, PASCALE MENARD, Elisabeth DAUPHIN, David POWELL, Elisabeth MUSSAT, JEAN LOUIS BRANERE, JEAN LOUIS LUCAS are frequent names on the list of purchasers at auctions, acting for French or International interests.
